First step to restoring our “unique” viaduct

The Spen Valley Committee agreed on Tuesday that Cleckheaton’s unique viaduct was well worth restoring. Following the initiative from Cleckheaton ward councillors, Kirklees Council officers have met funders from the Heritage Lottery Fund. They have encouraged an application for funding. Serpentine Road to be closed

Bus Station petition tops 1,000 !

More than 1,000 people have signed the Cleckheaton Liberal Democrat petition to Save Cleckheaton Bus Station from Closure.  Cllr Andrew Pinnock has handed the petition into public transport authority (Metro) and has spoken to Metro chiefs about the strength of local feeling.
