The bottom section of South Parade in Cleckheaton is closing today for a maximum of 6 weeks for a new gas main to be put in. The road will be closed from the junction with Westgate to West End Middle School. Diversions will be sign posted. There will be access for residents and the sweet factory.

As local councillors, we have done what we can to minimise the disruption which is why the main part of the work is being done during the school holidays. The work has to be done as the existing gas main is very old and unreliable.
