I’ve been down to Cleckheaton town centre this morning. It was great to see the so-called “hand gangs” clearing the compacted snow and spreading grit on all the pavements. The paths are clear and the shops and businesses open.

A snow plough has today been clearing the snow from some roads on the priority routes in Cleckheaton (see the map I posted yesterday) where the snow and ice haven’t been cleared by traffic. Most people I have spoken to are full of praise for the way the roads have been kept clear.
