Cleckheaton copper cable thefts put lives at risk

Callous thieves broke into an electricity sub-station in the early hours of Sunday morning and stole many metres of copper cable. The consequences: around 300 homes, including Syke Fold Grange, were without electricity for about 12 hours and several families report having TVs and cookers wrecked by a power surge.
