The Planning Committee decided to approve the Application from Netto for a new store on the corner of Horncastle Street and Northgate. This site has been derelict for around 10 years so seeing it developed is a positive step forward for our town. It will also offer some competition for Tesco and may encourage them to improve their store and prices.
We have a strong town centre offering a variety of shops with added value of really good customer service. A new store bringing more people into town should help local shops.
Now it is over to Netto to putbtheir plans into action.
The sooner the better its Ok people not wanting more large stores but try livingnext to a giant mole hill just left for ffly tipping and kids to play on not safe to walk on your own on northgate as it is all derelict and wood paneling sorry for the rant x
