I have been campaigning to keep our Post Offices open from the cuts made by the last Labour Government. Under Labour 5,000 Post Offices were closed including one at Hunsworth. So the Cleckheaton Lib Dem team is pleased that Lib Dems in Government have announced plans to save and support all the POs that are left.

The Lib Dem plans for our Post Offices will:

• Invest £1.3 billion in the Post Office network to support and save the remaining Post Offices
• have links to banks so people can do their banking at a PO. The banks include NatWest and RBS.
• POs will be able to open for more hours especially on a Saturday
• More services will be offered at the PO including information for job seekers
• POs in villages will be able to become the focus for community life
